The Lensbury staff support Teddington Rugby Club On Sunday 15th September, members of the Watersports Centre staff attended the Open Day of Teddington Rugby Football Club (TRFC). As a proud sponsor of the club we were very keen to support the event. The whole day was aimed at raising money for the Club in order to send the kids on upcoming rugby tours and to for a new rugby club-house to be built. There were stalls, BBQ’s and much more, all in aid of TRFC. The team were there to promote The Lensbury and particularly Membership, the Spa and the Watersports Centre. It was a great opportunity to present The Lensbury to the local community as many people were not aware that some of these facilities are available to non-members. Promoting The Lensbury was a good reason to support this event but the team were very enthusiastic about raising money for the rugby club too. One staff member in particular, Lisa Evans, showed her enthusiasm when she decided to use the monkey that was in her car as a prop in a game to raise money. The idea of the game was to guess the name of the monkey, making a small donation to have a guess (no required amount). Lisa wrote down various names on a sheet of paper for people to guess from. The lucky winner who guessed the correct name (Marvin) won a 2 hour motor boat trip for a family of up to 7 people. The team raised around £30 from the game and donated it to the rugby club. The Lensbury is very proud to have the staff they do, with exceptional service and always willing to go the extra mile for the right cause.
